BUYING A PROPERTY

Once you have made the decision to buy a new home you first need to be armed with your financial situation. If you already own a property get a current valuation and if you are a first time buyer, or need to top up, then speak to a mortgage advisor to see what you are likely to be offered - brokers are your best option as they have access to a huge range of mortgages (if you need a broker our sister company M & C Financial Services would be happy to help).

We suggest you set out your criteria before you start viewing properties.  Make a list starting with your needs, ie 3 bedrooms, garden, general location - these are the essential criteria for your new home.  Then add your wants to the list, ie ensuite bathroom, garage, close to a certain school - these items would be a bonus but you can compromise on them.

When you are armed with this information you are ready to start looking – most people use the internet to do this and our website makes this easy for you – click here for our search facility on our Home page
